We opened our doors in 1998 with a simple idea: give Miami's Japanese-car owners a place they can trust for dealership-level expertise without the dealership runaround. More than 25 years later, we're still independent and still at 1650 SW 27th Ave — and many of our customers have been with us for years.
Certified technicians, OEM parts, real warranties
Our technicians are certified by the American Advanced Technician Institute (AATI) — the certification Miami-Dade and Broward Counties accept for mechanic licensing. We use OEM parts only — the parts made for your car — and back every repair with a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty in writing. You'll always get a clear estimate before we start, and a straight answer about what your car needs now versus what can wait.
Japanese & Korean specialists — including hybrids
We know these cars: Acura, Honda, Lexus, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda and every other Japanese and Korean make. That includes servicing the conventional systems of hybrids — engine or mechanical work, brakes, suspension, tires, A/C and fluids. We don't service the high-voltage battery pack, electric drive motors, the inverter, or the electric A/C compressor, and we don't currently service all-electric (EV) vehicles. We also sell and install tires (we don't do wheel alignment).

Japanese Auto Tech is owned and run by Jesus, an AATI-certified technician, who works alongside Willy in the bays. When you bring your car in, the people working on it are the ones explaining what it needs and why.

Jesus has been with Japanese Auto Tech since its earliest days and today he owns the shop — more than 25 years of hands-on work on Japanese and Korean engines, brakes, A/C, and electrical systems. The standards haven't changed in all that time: OEM parts, honest estimates, and every repair backed in writing.
Willy
AATI-certified technician
Willy is an AATI-certified technician at Japanese Auto Tech. He'll work arm in arm with Jesus to track down a tricky problem, and be the one telling you straight what it'll take to fix it. Between the two of them, the person who diagnoses your car is the person who repairs it — so nothing gets lost between the front counter and the lift.
